Refugee Women of Bristol is a registered charity set up in 2003 by a group of refugee women to advance education, relieve poverty, promote and protect the health of refugee women and those seeking asylum in Bristol and the surrounding area.
We are looking for a dynamic woman* to ensure that the operation and development of Refugee Women of Bristol’s services are managed and delivered in line with the needs of refugee women, aims of the organisation, business plan and funding agreements in place.
These include creating opportunities for women to access advice, practical support, educational and therapeutic services and have their voice heard to empower women to develop their knowledge, confidence and skills base and integrate into the wider community.
We support around 200 women a year through a 1 day a week drop in centre in term time and by delivering courses to move women into employment volunteering and training.

At least two years’ experience of managing and supporting staff and/ or volunteers.

A chartered engineer with a strong background within the Oil and Gas or Petro-chem sector is required for a long term contract, initially 12 months, for a Control and Instrumentation Project Engineer role based out of a LNG Storage site in Bristol.
The role will be responsible for the project management of Control and Instrumentation systems across the site. The successful applicant for the Control and Instrumentation Project Engineer will need to have prior experience dealing with Control and Instrumentation systems, knowledge of Power Turbines, Centrifugal Process Compressors, current DCS and Process Control technologies. The role requires someone with a first class management skills and a demonstrable record of Control and Instrumentation project deliver within the Water, Oil and Gas or Petro-chem sectors.
Candidates will need to be qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent standard in a related engineering qualification and will ideally be a chartered engineer or leading towards it. Candidates will be responsible for managing statutory and company requirements associated with systems and instrumentation (e.g. IEC61508/615011). SIS-SIL requirements.
Key Requirements for the Control and Instrumentation Project Engineer are:

Severn Barrage, creara 20.000 puestos de trabajo.
Severn Barrage el proyecto fue presentado y se está siendo estudiado por el gobierno de David Cameron. El proyectó de £ 25 mil millones para construir una presa de Severn, y se necesitaran 20.000 puestos de trabajo directos y más de 5.000 indirectos.
La compañía dice que la presa podría generar un cinco por ciento de la electricidad del Reino Unido durante más de un siglo – el equivalente a 2.500 turbinas eólicas en el mar o cuatro reactores nucleares – proporcionar una fuente rentable y fiable de energía renovable.
El gobierno de Bristol quiere armar las turbinas en Bristol y Gales, dando la oportunidad de la crear puestos de trabajo durante un período de construcción de nueve años.
Airbus el motor de Bristol logra contratos para los próximos 5 años.
* La empresa, que tiene su fábrica de Filton a 20 minutos del centro de Bristol, ha firmado un acuerdo por valor de un estimado de £ 5 mil millones con Philippine Airlines. Airbus crea indirectamente 10.000 puestos de trabajo en el área de Bristol, y se ha consolidado como el mayor fabricante de aviones del mundo en los últimos dos años 2011-2012 superando a su rival estadounidense Boeing.
* Airbus ha conseguido un acuerdo para construir 100 aviones para por un valor estimado de £ 5,5 mil millones. El acuerdo fue anunciado por David Cameron – que dijo que ayudaría a mantener 9.000 empleos y crear más en la industria de la aviación del Reino Unido.
*AirAsia, la mayor aerolínea de bajo coste de Asia, ha firmado un nuevo pedido con Airbus para la adquisición de 100 aviones adicionales de la Familia A320 —64 A320neo y 36 A320ceo— que darán servicio en la red de rutas de la aerolínea.
El pedido se anunció durante la visita del primer ministro británico, David Cameron, a las instalaciones de Airbus en Broughton, Reino Unido, especializadas en la fabricación de alas, donde Cameron fue testigo de la firma del documento entre Tan Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes, CEO del grupo Air Asia, y Fabrice Bregier, presidente y CEO de Airbus.
El acuerdo subraya la posición de AirAsia como la aerolínea que más aviones de la Familia A320 ha comprado en todo el mundo. La cartera de pedidos de la aerolínea asciende a 475 aviones de pasillo único de Airbus, 211 A320ceo y 264 A320neo, de los que más de 100 ya han sido entregados y operan actualmente desde sus bases en Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Yakarta, Manila y Tokio.
Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, consejero delegado del grupo AirAsia, señaló durante la firma: “Tenemos tres minas de oro en Malasia, Tailandia e Indonesia. Además, Filipinas y Japón presentan un enorme potencial de crecimiento. Esta reciente adquisición forma parte de nuestra estrategia de expansión de incrementar nuestra ya extensa red de rutas con otras nuevas y con mayores frecuencias, permitiendo que Air Asia mantenga su posición de liderazgo.”
* Turkish Airlines ha firmado un pedido para la adquisición de 15 A330-300, su séptimo pedido de esta familia de aviones y el vigésimo de aviones Airbus en general. Los aviones serán utilizados en rutas de medio y largo recorrido desde el centro de conexiones de Turkish Airlines en Estambul.
Turkish Airlines realizó su primer pedido con Airbus en 1984. Actualmente, la aerolínea opera una flota de 101 aviones Airbus, incluidos 17 aviones de la Familia A330.
“La eficiencia, fiabilidad y atractivo para los pasajeros de nuestros actuales A330 convierten a este modelo de avión en la piedra angular de las operaciones de medio y largo recorrido de Turkish Airlines”, apuntó Dr. Temel Kotil, consejero delegado de Turkish Airlines. “Este nuevo pedido contribuirá a nuestra estrategia de crecimiento y renovación de flota con un avión que sabemos que es fiable y rentable”.

* Afriqiyah Airways incrementa su futura flota de A350 XWB con un nuevo pedido de cuatro A350-900. La aerolínea ha modificado además su primer pedido de seis A350-800 por el modelo A350-900, de mayor tamaño. La cartera de pedidos de Afriqiyah asciende en total a 10 A350-900.
Los A350 XWB de Afriqiyah tendrán capacidad para transportar 314 pasajeros, que podrán disfrutar de la experiencia de volar a bordo de la cabina más moderna. Los aviones operarán nuevos destinos que abrirá la aerolínea a Estados Unidos, Oriente Medio y Asia.
“Este nuevo pedido de Afriqiyah para la compra de más A350 XWB es una gran noticia y una clara muestra de que este avión será la nueva referencia en el segmento de largo recorrido”, señaló John Leahy, director del Área de Clientes de Airbus. “Estamos seguros de que la incomparable economía y confort superior para los pasajeros del A350 XWB serán elementos clave para el continuo éxito de Afriqiyah”.
Hitachi espera crear 2.000 empleos
Hitachi ha cerrado el acuerdo para la construcción de una nueva central nuclear construida en el sur de Gloucestershire.
EL acuerdo de construcción será de £ 700 millones, Hitachi ha anunciado que ha comenzara el proyecto en 2013 para construir una planta de energía nuclear en Oldbury y una segunda en el norte de Gales.
La firma dijo que con los planes para construir la nueva central eléctrica en el sur de Gloucestershire, espera crear unos 2.000 nuevos puestos de trabajo durante 10 años, y generar en la zona un incremento de oportunidades. El objetivo es hacer que el reactor nuclear este en pleno funcionamiento en la próxima década.

Aardman empresa de animación con sede en Bristol, ha sido nominada nuevamente para otro Oscar por la película Los Piratas. Los Piratas, creado por el equipo de diseño de Bristol que emplea a más de 500 personas y genera 100 puestos indirectos en el sector del diseño gráfico y animación.
GE Oil & Gas anuncia la creación de 200 empleos directos.
GE Oil & Gas empresa de energía anuncia la creación de 200 puestos de trabajo en Bristol en este año 2013 con la apertura de un centro de ingeniería submarina en West azteca Centre.

Independet School: Colegios privados: Son guarderías y colegios privados gestionados con fondos propios y no esta sujeta a las condiciones impuestas para la aceptación de fondos del estado.
La contratación en estos colegios se realiza directamente con el director del centro (headteacher) y posteriormente con el consejo de dirección del centro.
